Insightful Care Psychiatry was founded by Donna K. Dempsey, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Florida. The practice is built on the belief that mental health care should be professional, welcoming, responsive, and accessible to everyone. Donna has extensive experience helping people with a variety of mental health concerns, and has developed a practice to provide personalized care when you need it. Our team provides care to individuals across the life span: children, adolescents, adults, and elders.
As our patient, you will receive a full psychiatric evaluation. We will prescribe and manage any medication you may require and provide you with brief psychotherapy. Let’s get started today. You’ll be amazed at how better your tomorrows can be.

You may be seen in person in the office or by way of secure and easy-to-use telehealth video conferencing. We are advocates of telepsychiatry, which we believe increases mental health access, convenience and privacy, and also offer appointments in our private, inviting, serene office. We see patients who are located anywhere in Florida.

We believe when you need an appointment for a mental health issue, you need it now, not later. For this reason, we endeavor to maintain weekly openings for new patients, and our active patients with urgent needs.

We intentionally schedule ample time for each visit, allowing for thoughtful evaluation, meaningful conversation, and a deeper understanding of each individual’s needs. In addition to expert medication management, we incorporate brief psychotherapy to provide more comprehensive, well-rounded care.
We have also created an environment that promotes comfort and ease. Our office offers a calm, spa-like atmosphere with soft music, refreshments such as coffee, tea, protein bars, and candies, as well as Wi-Fi and convenient drive-up parking. We maintain availability for urgent appointments, recognizing that mental health needs do not always follow a schedule.
